Phillip Hughes

On Tuesday Phillip Hughes got hit by a bouncer, it made him collapse instantly. He had died and the Medical staff bough him back to life, it took the ambulance 29 minutes to get to the SCG.

He was put on life support, which was keeping him alive. Sean Abbott was the Cricketer that hit Phillip Hughes in the head with a bouncer.

All Phil’s teammates visited him, everyone feels so sorry for Sean Abbott. It wasn’t his fault because it was just a freak accident. Sadly on Thursday he died, 3 days shy of his birthday. ( RIP Phillip Hughes 1988-2014)

Remembrance Day

Today is Remembrance Day, I went to a service near the Pascoe Vale pools. They layed our reef for us, the reef was purple, green and white it looked very nice.

We listened to them talk about Remembrance Day, then we had a minute of silence. Then we talked to the Mayor, and a guy that used to come to our school.

The Storm

It stared on Sunday night at 2:00 am. BA BOOM, I heard a loud crackle of thunder and saw a big strike of lightning through the window. I noticed that the house was shaking , I was worried, my life flashed before my eyes. The lightning was continually flashing and striking, it kept me awake for a while. I heard the rain trickle down the down pipe, Dad didn’t know what was happening.

Cyber Busters

Cyber Busters

Today 2 performers came to our school to teach us about Cyber Bullying. They performed a 45 minute act, that was about Cyber bullying and how to stop it. Some ideas to stop it are going to the police, ring kids Helpline, and tell your parents. When you are on Instagram don’t post photos that you don’t want your parents seeing. People can screen shot the photo and use it inappropriate ways. They can show people, when you don’t want them to know about. 26% percentage of kids get cyber bullied, out of one hundred

Sport Report

Today the boys Basketball team played a challenging game of Basketball against St. Bernards. The scores were 31-40 in their favour, some of the highlights were Rami’s shooting and Nico’s strong rebounding. I’d like to thank Mr. Mitchell for coaching, and Jo-ann for umpiring.

VSSEC

Recount on Mission to Mars (VSSEC)

Today we went to Strathmore Secondary; we got to know about Mars. We got to suit up in a space suit; our first activity was Mission Control. We had to communicate with other people, my partner was Alex. We had to fix any problems that were to do with water.

Our next activity was to be astronauts; Alex and I were using a robotic arm, to collect tools that were in a small container. The other group could see us in a camera.

We moved on to making electricity with batteries, wires and a light bulb, Connor helped me it was a bit difficult because we had to link up wires. The end result was that the light bulb lighted up.

Then we made robots with wires an motors, we had to make legs with paperclips. When we finished making them we had a completion, it was a dance off. Connor and I’s robot was the best and won.

Poem On Mitchell Johnson

Johnson’s Moe has brought back his bowling,

At thunderous speeds,

Snapping the stumps,

And bowling bouncers,

Breaking Arms,

And showing off his intimating smile,

He broke Broad’s foot,

With a nasty Yorker,

Oh gezz that would hurt,

He shaved his Moe for charity,

And grew it back,

He smashed the commentary box into pieces,

And broke McLarens arm.

Football Day

Footy Day

Yesterday was footy day, in the morning we had P.E. We did badminton, Alex and I are the champs. In the afternoon we had footy activities, we met Matt Spangher also known as Brandon.

The best activity was kick to kick, I kicked the ball to Rami and he kicked it back to me. I also liked the handballing activities. For lunch we had a hotdog and a juice box. At lunch I played with Brandon, we played basketball.

Excursion

What would your paragraphs look like if you added a sentence to each one?

Yesterday we went to the Old Melbourne Gaol and IMAX. Our day started with a bus trip to Russell Street, we got off the bus and walked to the Carlton Gardens. We ate our snack, and then we got some time to play soccer.

It was our turn to have a tour of the Old Melbourne Gaol, which was where Ned Kelly was hanged. We sat down, and the tour guide Trevor was talking to us about the history of the building. He took us inside the building to have a look at some of the cells and the death masks. The cells were not even an arm spand wide; each cell had a small bed and a blanket.

We moved on to the second level were the hanging happens; there was a big thick rope and a trap door with a lever. He told us about the time Ned was hanged and who hanged him. We had about 5 minutes to try on Ned’s armour it actually weighs over 50 kilos, but we tried on the fibreglass versions which was very light.

We walked up to IMAX, and we got handed 3d glasses. We were watching a film about Space it was very interesting. My favourite part was when the space shuttle took off, and there was stuff flying everywhere.

My favourite part was when we went to old Melbourne Goal. I liked when we got to see the cells, and where Ned Kelly got hanged. I also enjoyed going to the IMAX theatre, the Old Melbourne Gaol, the Carlton Gardens and the Old Exhibition Building.
